West Elk Word: An Exciting and Difficult Year for Jackson's Honest
January 20, 2018

Megan and Scott Reamer founded Jackson's Honest Chip Company after developing a special diet for their son Jackson, who suffered from a rare disorder called Aicardi Gutierres Syndrome. Among the foods high in saturated fat that the Reamers cooked for their son were potatoe chips cooked in coconut oil.

Lindsey Schauer was a long time caretaker for Jackson and his siblings, and also helped the family cook their first batch of chips in their Crested Butte home.

Last Fall, the fast growing company was featured on an Episode of the show, "Shark Tank" just weeks after Jackson's death at the age of 16.

This two part episode of the West Elk Word, Lindsey, Scott and Megan share with guest host Christopher Biddle about their exciting and difficult year.
