KBUT’s diverse programming includes music, entertainment, and local news and information. More than 80 local volunteer DJs program a diverse mix of music including jazz, blues, rock, reggae, folk, and bluegrass.

KBUT is the Gunnison Valley's most reliable source for timely information about local weather, arts and culture, political issues, recreation, the environment, and emergencies. We also provide locally-produced news and public affairs.

A selection of nationally-syndicated programming rounds out our broadcast schedule. We're affiliated with NPR and Pacifica and air their most popular programs, including Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me and Democracy Now.

This is all part of KBUT's mission to help create an informed public that is challenged and enlightened by a deeper understanding of ideas and events.
