Socrates Café are gatherings around the world where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of Socratizing; the idea that we learn more when we question and question with others.1 Crested Butte holds a monthly Socrates Café.
Join us at the library for a thoughtful and reflective philosophical discussion on the question:
Is morality innate and universal?
Marc Hauser, author of Moral Minds, argues that millions of years of natural selection have molded a universal moral grammar within our brains that enables us to make rapid decisions about ethical dilemmas. What do you think?
