Take Back The Night
Sexual Assault Awareness Event

Add to your calendar
Date: April 24, 6:30 pm
Continues Until:
Location: United States
Details: The Confidential Advocacy Center (CAC) will be hosting our second annual sexual assault awareness event, Take Back The Night®, on Thursday April 24th.  The event will begin at 6:30 pm at the Meadows Park in Gunnison.  There will be a small, kid friendly art project and a short overview of the events taking place over the course of the evening.  CAC will then lead a march to the I.O.O.F. Park on the corner of Main Street and Virginia to symbolize the path survivors must take towards healing and recovery, and to bring awareness to how our society treats victims of sexual assault.  We will have a speaker, anonymous stories and a silent auction at the park, and will end the night with a candle light vigil in memory of those affected by sexual abuse at 9 pm.  Please join us at either location, or meet us at the I.O.O.F. Park if you are unable to participate in the march.

We are also looking for donations for the silent auction.  If you have anything that you would be willing to donate, please contact us at 641-2712 to discuss details.  All donations are tax deductible, and proceeds help individuals affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.  ?
