Add to your calendar
Date: January 22, 7:00 pm
Continues Until:
Location: Old Rock Library
Details: Why would anyone go to a poetry reading? “When I go, I often find that there are many invitations to fall more deeply in love with the world and chances to laugh at myself,” says poet RosemerryWahtola Trommer. “Poetry performance is kind of like a comedy show for the soul: you find yourself laughing, or crying, because you recognize yourself”.

So come laugh or cry with Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer as she performs a poetry reading at the Old Rock Library.Trommer will read from several of her collections and a few new poems, too. She interweaves song and story with poems that take on daily life, from raising children to learning a new language to shoveling snow. She even converses with an ancient Sufi mystic at the beach. As the editor of the Vail Daily writes, “Trommer has the touch to make even such a crusty scoffer as me love poetry…as long as she’s the author.
