Community Awareness Series

A FREE event to promote awareness of global issues to our local community
 
Wednesday, May 1st
with the help of Mountain Roots Food Project:
 
“Ingredients”
a documentary film
“The Local Food Movement Takes Root”
 
“INGREDIENTS is a journey that reveals the people behind the movement to bring good food back to the table and health back to our communities.”
 
Join us for a screening of the movie and informational talk with Holly Conn, Director of Mountain Roots Food Project.
 
 
 
Thursday, May 2nd
 
“The Power of Community:  How Cuba Survived the Peak Oil Crisis”
a documentary film
 
“Cuba was undergoing a transition from a highly industrial society to a sustainable one.”
 
Join us for a screening of the documentary and an informational Q&A with members of the Office of Resource Efficiency
 
 
Films will begin at 5:30 on Wednesday and Thursday in the CBCS Multi-Purpose room.  Q&A will follow the films.
