The Crested Butte Mountain Theatre presents Urinetown: The Musical, June 21st-24th and 28th-July 1st at the Center for the Arts. An award-winning Broadway hit, Musical Theatre International calls it: "One of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, URINETOWN is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold..." Directed by Mona Wood-Patterson, it satirizes the legal system, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement and municipal politics. The story line opens with a twenty-year drought, causing a terrible water shortage, making private toilets unthinkable. Advance tickets are available Online or by phone.
