Will Shoemaker is a staff writer for the Gunnison Country Times, covering Gunnison city government and general assignments. He’s been involved with newspapers in the Gunnison Valley, off and on, since 2004. Will received a bachelor’s degree from Western State College in 2006 with a major in English Literature and a minor in Journalism, and served as News Editor and Managing Editor of WSC’s student-run Top 'O the World. During that tenure, he wrote part-time for the Times. Will worked for MetroWest Newspapers in Brighton, CO for a year following graduation from WSC. He also worked a year at the city desk of the Exponent, an independent, student-run daily at Purdue University. He’s originally from Lafayette, IN.
